Over the course of my adult life (30 + years) I had gained more than 60 pounds.  Some of it was due to having children and a slowing metabolism, but if I was honest with myself, most of my weight gain was due to snacking and not always eating right.  I found myself not having much energy, not sleeping well, and generally not feeling my best.  With my son going off to college this year, I decided my husband and I needed to take the opportunity to change our eating habits and try to lose some weight. 

 

I had heard about the Ideal Protein diet plan from my family doctor and on the radio.  After speaking with an IP counselor, I decided this program was exactly what I needed to help change my eating habits and hopefully shed a few pounds in the process.  The IP plan was very easy for me to follow.  Not only did I find a number of IP foods that I enjoyed, I received great support and encouragement from my IP counselor, and I saw results right away!  I’m proud to say that I lost 40 pounds in about four and half months, but more importantly, my husband and I are eating and enjoying a much healthier diet!

I got to the point where I had to do what I had to do (lose some pounds) but I wanted to do it in a safe and healthy way, as quickly as I could. Ideal Protein and Rachel were exactly what I needed.  You WILL lose weight with this plan quickly and steadily if you stick to it. Once you get the hang of it, it is fairly easy, and you want to stick with it because their formula works. 

Their food is actually good, and if you have a bad sweet tooth like I do, they have a way to work with that too with their once-a-day restricted product.   Rachel knows what she is doing, is encouraging and fun to spend time with. 

I am in maintaince (phase 4) but love that I can "touch up" when I mess up, and maintain my loss.
